Hello and welcome to my blog.

I am an Associate Lecturer in Scottish Criminal Law at the University of the West of Scotland and also lecture in Legal Studies at New College Lanarkshire. I have spent virtually my entire adult life in the legal profession. I graduated from Strathclyde University Law School in the early 1990s and since then have practised and taught the law.

My own ambition to become a lawyer stems from my utter hatred of injustice. I have and always will fight for those who have nobody else to fight for them.

I hope to achieve many different goals with this blog. The factual, critical analysis of various articles of the day (they will usually, but not exclusively, have a direct legal slant). The practical perspective of explaining some of my own teachings for students to digest in their own time, and, crucially, the humorous aspect of life ( and the law) in general, whether seen through the lens of the media, the lawyer or the teacher.

Personally, I don’t think that these types of sites work without feedback, so I welcome it at all times, whether complimentary or otherwise.

Finally, this is MY blog with MY views and they are NOT to be taken, in any way, shape or form as being the views of anyone other than me and certainly nothing should be inferred as being the views or opinions of either UWS (The University of the West of Scotland) or NCL (New College Lanarkshire).

Enjoy and, again, thanks for stopping by… is most appreciated.
